Wendy Adoo joined the CaraVita team in December of 2019 as our Director of Client Relations. In this role, her knowledge of families and our senior living community partners will help the CaraVita team seamlessly connect seniors and those in the senior care field to the resources CaraVita has to offer.
CaraVita President, Bear Mahon, states, “Wendy brings a wealth of hands-on experience in serving seniors and building supportive relationships with care staff members. You can feel the passion in her voice and the calling placed on her life to serve others. I’m thrilled for Wendy to add to our commitment to enhancing our meaningful engagement opportunities with both our clients and team members.”
Wendy Adoo has worked in the senior care field for over ten years. Adoo states, “I am inspired by a childhood culture where you never pass by an elderly person without assisting them.” This philosophy has stayed with her and continued to influence her throughout her career.
Her previous roles with companies such as Brookdale Senior Living and Enlivant Senior Living has provided her compelling experience in providing holistic care to Elders and their families. In these roles, she directed and coordinated meaningful activities to improve the lives of those living with dementia.
“I understand the complex challenges seniors and their families face in the adult caregiving industry, and I relish the opportunity to help.”
As well as her caregiving experience, Wendy also has experience in therapeutic recreation and event planning. Wendy is currently a student at Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University and a proud member of the Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter.
Bridgett Skelton, CaraVita’s Vice President of Business Development, says, “Wendy has extensive knowledge of our Assisted Living partners and how to best support their mission in caring for their residents. Wendy’s knowledge and background as a previous caregiver will help us all better understand the needs of our caregivers, which is crucial in delivering quality care. We aim to be the provider and employee of choice, and Wendy has a full understanding of both!”
CaraVita is extremely grateful to have Wendy as part of our professional team and cannot wait to see how she furthers our vision to transform the lives of seniors and their families by serving and fulfilling needs in every stage of life! Welcome, Wendy!
In her free time, Wendy enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Dr. Yaw Adoo. She also loves cooking, engaging in active sports events, and traveling.
